Apex and Link Are Live: Batch Two, Drop One Has Begun

Batch Two, Drop One is now live - bringing new coverage to Northern Nevada and laying the foundation for further expansion across the region. This milestone introduces two critical additions to our fixed wireless rollout: the Apex and Link AirNodes.

These AirNodes are more than hardware. They are the instruments through which we continue to expand a decentralized, community-owned mobile network - one that offers people genuine control over how connectivity is built, used, and rewarded.

From Reno to the Wider Region

Since February 2024, we’ve been laying groundwork across the Reno area. The focus of Batch One was simple: deploy fixed wireless AirNodes, secure host sites, and connect subscribers.

By prioritizing fixed wireless, we’ve accelerated site acquisition, simplified installation, and streamlined user onboarding. These early deployments have helped us overcome the scaling limitations that have challenged other decentralized physical networks.

With phase one now complete, Batch Two builds on that foundation - expanding fixed wireless access while preparing for additional cellular services.

Introducing the Apex and Link

Batch Two includes over 700 fixed wireless AirNodes, released in multiple drops. At the center of this rollout are two new models: Apex and Link.

Apex is a long-range broadcast unit, designed to sit at the topographic high points of a region. With a 30-kilometer line-of-sight range, each Apex can connect up to 250 Link receivers and backhaul to nearby cellular sites. Batch Two, Drop One includes four Apex 90 models, offering 90-degree coverage per unit.

Link is a fixed receiver, typically installed at homes or businesses within the Apex's range. It delivers reliable, high-speed connectivity to individual subscribers.

This combination forms the backbone of World Mobile’s fixed wireless infrastructure - built to reach underserved areas and deliver fiber-class internet speeds across challenging terrain.

How Rewards Work

World Mobile’s model rewards Operators based on actual network usage.

  • Apex Operators receive a share of revenue based on the number of connected Links.
  • Link Operators earn based on subscriber package fees.

You can estimate potential earnings using the Earnings Calculator.

Pricing for Batch Two, Drop One is as follows:

  • Link: $749 RRP ($699 during Early Access)
  • Apex: $15,999

Operators also have the option to collaborate with their Hosts and expand their deployments as coverage and demand grow.

Expanded Coverage. Stronger Community.

This drop marks our first step beyond the Reno bowl, with fixed wireless coverage now extending toward Lake Tahoe, into Northern California, and reaching as far as Battle Mountain.

These areas have historically been underserved by traditional providers. Our goal is to bring them reliable coverage - and meaningful economic participation - through decentralized ownership.

Becoming an Operator

The process to own remotely is simple and streamlined:

  1. Visit the World Mobile Explorer.
  2. Select “Own Remotely” to operate from anywhere in the world.
  3. Choose your AirNode manually or let the system auto-select.
  4. Add to cart and check out using your whitelist code.
  5. Choose between Stripe or Crypto.com for payment.
  6. Sign the Operator Agreement.
  7. Your AirNode will appear in your dashboard within 48–72 hours.
  8. Begin receiving rewards once the AirNode is active.

Looking Ahead

Batch Two is more than a technical upgrade - it’s a step forward in building a fairer network.

Each Apex adds reach. Each Link adds capacity. Each Operator contributes to a shared infrastructure where value is returned to the community, not siphoned off by corporations.

We’re creating a mobile network owned by the people who use it. One that grows with every deployment, strengthens with every connection, and improves access where it’s needed most.

Thank you for being part of this next phase. Let’s continue building - together.
