Important: Owning a Hex NFT does not guarantee revenue, profit, or financial return of any kind.
All earnings—if any—depend entirely on your work, deployment success, user adoption, ongoing operation of the nodes, and require compliance with the Network Builder Program terms and Code of Conduct. Participation involves risk, including the possibility of losing the full amount paid for the permit.
The system is permissionless and decentralized, and all outcomes are driven by real-world performance, network usage, and operator execution.

From bidding to building in three simple stages
Claim your Hex through onchain auctions: Browse the map, select your Hex, and compete in transparent, verifiable auctions. Every bid is recorded onchain, with countdown timers and real-time updates.
Activate and grow your Hex: Once secured, your Hex unlocks tools to acquire subscribers, onboard AirNode Hosts, partner with installers, and expand network coverage. Incentives are aligned, so you can build your own Hex Operator ecosystem.
Earn by building real network value: Hex Operators can earn rewards linked to verified network activity. Earning opportunities include subscriber adoption, infrastructure deployment, and milestone progress. Rewards reflect real-world execution, network usage, and ongoing participation as coverage and adoption grow.

World Mobile Network Builder is a partnership and management platform to provide the global community an opportunity to join the movement in reclaiming power over mobile networks in a collaborative effort to build decentralized physical infrastructure in this current era of digital connectivity as a prerequisite to conduct everyday life. The globe is partitioned into equal sized, hexagon-shaped territories that reference H3 indexes at resolution 5 scale (~252 km²), and users participate in Auctions to gain the opportunity to upstart their own operations within these territories. It is up to these Hex Operators to kick-off community-based methods of outreach, marketing for subscriber sign-up, locating hosts for AirNode deployment, and everything in between to build out a completely decentralized telecom network.
H3 is a geospatial indexing system that divides the world into hexagonal grids at multiple resolution levels. In World Mobile Network Builder, hexagons at resolution 5 represent geographic areas. Each area is simply referred to as a Hex and covers approximately 252 km². These hexes form the core spatial units as the boundary for operations involving network planning, auctions, and mapping.
Hex Operator: The entity that wins an auction to own the Hex NFT, manage a hexagonal geographic area, and claim the rewards earned from work and verified network activity in the representative locale.
Lead Operator: These individuals have proven track record of success across their own Hex operations. They may opt to share success stories and recommended standards and practices for other Hex Operators to increase their own clout or earned rewards shared by the operators that they help or consult.
Agent: A delegate appointed by a Hex Operator to assist with ground-level operations like marketing, network buildout, finding potential hosts, and installers with the potential to earn revenue share within the Hex geographic area.
Host: Users that do not require participation in auctions and can apply to allow their physical address and location to install real-world assets and deploy AirNodes.
Affiliate: Users that do not require participation in auctions and have an existing World Mobile account where they can help sign-up more Subscribers to World Mobile's network. Affiliates can track their performance, commissions, and subscriber activity through this partnership platform.
- Auctions are held for Hex areas at resolution 5.
- A Registered User (has a connected wallet) can place bids and purchase immediately with World Mobile Token (WMTx).
- The auction starts when the first bid is placed, triggering a countdown until expiry.
- Any User, whether they have registered with a connected wallet or not, can track auctions on an interactive map or list view.
- When the auction ends, the highest bidder receives the Hex NFT representing a permit to deploy infrastructure, perform work, attract users, and operate AirNodes within that Hex.
- Once a User receives their Hex NFT, they must proceed with fulfilling a list of obligations and complete KYC/KYB verification post-auction in order to continue in the platform with elevated permissions as a Hex Operator.
With a connected web3 wallet, the user may use WMTx to submit bids. USDC and USDT, in addition to Stripe payments, will go live in early 2026.
