Chapter 4 explained the responsibilities of a Hex Operator: the business plan, scanning, adoption, and compliance that bring a Hex to life. This chapter focuses on how subscriber acquisition translates into rewards through the Affiliate Dashboard.
You can participate in the Affiliate program as a Hex Operator looking for subscribers, an Agent supporting network growth, or a World Mobile user who wants to help expand the network and earn referral rewards. No matter your role, the Affiliate Dashboard provides tools to create and share an affiliate code, onboard new subscribers, and track usage over time.
For Hex Operators and Agents, it’s useful to think of this chapter as the bridge between those building the network and the community that is yet to join it. Each subscriber who uses your code strengthens both your Hex and the network as a whole.
Your most powerful tool: The Affiliate Dashboard
Once you are an "Authorized" Operator, you will gain access to the Affiliate Dashboard within the "Business" section of the Network Builder platform. This is your command center for managing and monitoring subscriber growth.
1. Your Custom Affiliate ID
As a Hex Operator, you may request a custom Affiliate ID. This code is your golden ticket to attributing new subscribers to your Hex and unlocking Enhanced Rewards.
You can share this code in multiple formats, making it easy to distribute across different channels:
QR Code: Perfect for printing on flyers, posters, or displaying at local events and partner businesses.
Embed Snippet: For use on your personal or business website to create a seamless sign-up portal.
Best Practice: Always include clear context when sharing your code. A simple message like, "Join the World Mobile network in our community and get a discount on your first month with my code!" can significantly increase conversions.
2. Tracking Your Performance
The Affiliate Dashboard provides a transparent, real-time view of your subscriber metrics. Use this data to understand what's working and where to focus your efforts. Key metrics include:
- Total Commissions Earned: A clear view of your affiliate revenue.
- Code Usage Over Time: Track how many people are using your code daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Active Subscriptions: Monitor the total number of active subscribers tied to your affiliate code. This is your primary KPI for reaching the "Enabled" status.
Strategies for Acquiring Your First 1,000 Subscribers
Hitting your initial subscriber target requires a focused, on-the-ground strategy.
1. Leverage Your Agents
This is where your "Sales Activator" and "Affiliate Marketer" agents shine.
Empower Sales Activators. Equip them with your QR codes and direct links to engage potential customers at community hubs, local markets, and events.
Collaborate with Marketers: Work with affiliate marketing agents who can run targeted local online campaigns on social media or local news sites.
2. Build Local Partnerships
Your network doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's important to integrate it into the community that exists within your Hex.
Partner with Small Businesses: Offer a revenue share or co-branded promotion to local cafes, shops, and community centers that display your QR code. They provide the foot traffic; you provide the connectivity.
Engage with Property Managers: Work with managers of apartment buildings or HOAs to offer bulk deals for their residents.
3. Connect Scanning with Sales
Your network scanning efforts (as described in Chapter 5) are a powerful marketing tool.
Identify "Not-Spots": Use the Scan-for-Points tool in the World Mobile app to find areas with poor or non-existent coverage from legacy providers.
Targeted Outreach: Once you deploy an AirNode to cover a "not-spot," launch a highly targeted marketing campaign in that specific neighborhood. "Tired of dropped calls? Your community-owned network is now live right here."
4. Run Promotional Campaigns
Incentivize early adoption to build momentum.
Launch-Day Offers: Create a sense of excitement and urgency with a "First 100 Subscribers" discount or bonus.
Referral Bonuses: Encourage your existing subscribers to refer their friends and family by offering them a small reward for every new sign-up.
By combining the powerful tools in the Affiliate Dashboard with a creative, community-focused marketing strategy, you can efficiently reach your adoption targets and build a thriving customer base within your Hex.
Log into the Network Builder platform and open the Business section. From here, select Affiliate Dashboard from the left-hand menu.
This section displays your affiliate profile, performance data, and tools to support subscriber outreach.
Note: You must be logged in to access this section. Hex Operators gain access to enhanced affiliate features through the Network Builder platform as part of their participation in the program.
How Enhanced Affiliate Rewards work
Enhanced affiliate rewards are tied to subscribers gathered and retained within the Network Builder.
Rewards are denominated in USD and released only when subscribers remain active long enough to reach defined milestones. This structure ensures incentives stay aligned with real usage and long-term adoption.
Depending on the plan and payment method a subscriber chooses, rewards are released in one of three ways.
12-month upfront plans release rewards for the affiliate marketer across three milestones: an initial validation period, a six-month milestone, and a twelve-month milestone. For example, an Advanced plan subscriber can unlock up to $150 in total rewards, released gradually as the subscription remains active.
6-month upfront plans release rewards across two milestones, typically at validation and six months. Total rewards are lower than the twelve-month option but still meaningful when retention is strong.
Rolling monthly plans release rewards in stages as well. The first payment is delayed until after a 60-day validation period. This delay acts as an anti-churn safeguard, ensuring the subscriber has remained active for at least two billing cycles before any commission is paid.
If a subscription is canceled or refunded before a milestone is reached, any unpaid rewards for that milestone are not released. If a refund occurs after a reward has already been paid, a clawback may apply.

Tracking your performance
The Affiliate Dashboard provides visibility into affiliate activity and adoption metrics, including:
- Affiliate rewards earned
- Code usage over time
- Number of active subscriptions attributed to your code
- Aggregated geographic indicators
- Conversion rates from views to activations
These metrics update regularly and help you understand how your outreach contributes to subscriber growth. Affiliate rewards and subscription revenue share eligibility are tracked separately and follow different rules within the Network Builder program.
Affiliates without Hexes
You do not need to own a Hex to participate as an affiliate. Anyone can become an affiliate through World Mobile’s Refer & Earn program and earn referral rewards for driving subscriber growth anywhere in the network.
Independent affiliates can:
- Build campaigns around World Mobile phone plans
- Partner with Hex Operators for local promotions
This structure ensures that growth remains community-driven, whether participants are building infrastructure, coordinating deployments, or simply helping new users join the network.
