Return of the Titan: Taking the World Mobile Network Further

It’s back.

On 28 May 2025, the Titan AirNode joins Spark AirNodes, becoming available once again through Early Access.

That’s right – our largest, longest-range AirNode is returning for purchase. It’s the return of long-range coverage, high-capacity throughput, forming a backbone (Overwatch) layer that helps strengthen the foundation of the World Mobile network.

It’s time for the Return of the Titan. And that’s not all.

The Titans will return to Reno, Nevada.

In early 2024, we opened the first batches of AirNode sales in Reno. It’s where we launched Batch One. It’s where Batch Two flourished. This is where we proved that people-powered infrastructure could thrive in the real world, powered by Hosts and Operators who can both earn rewards while expanding decentralized wireless connectivity.

What is the Titan?

The Titan is a base station operating on the 600mHz Band 71, a low-frequency band of licensed spectrum once used for broadcast television. It provides wireless coverage across a radius of up to 28 kilometers and supports up to 800 users simultaneously. With throughput ranging from 2.5 to 10.1 GBPS, it’s capable of sustaining heavy network demand across large areas.

It also serves as “Overwatch”, providing a baseline layer of coverage for all devices in its range and working in tandem with Portal AirNodes to maintain uptime.

Why It Matters

Most legacy networks are concentrated in cities and leave outer, more remote regions underserved. Reno is no exception.

Even within the city, there are numerous ‘Swiss Cheese’ areas where network drops out and connectivity slackens or disappears altogether. The Titan tackles this problem by providing continuous, long-range connectivity across a large area, serving as a baseline network that phones can fall back on when other networks and AirNodes are unavailable.

Its presence helps stabilize connectivity. It reduces network strain. And it makes it easier for communities to stay online all day - whether that’s a town, a remote highway, or a dense neighborhood operating near capacity.

Where the Titans Will be Located

The Titan will be available in Reno, Nevada.

Reno has been the foundation of our US rollout strategy, hosting the first two batches of AirNodes that we opened for sale through the AirNode Sales Platform. With its rugged terrain, high demand, and supportive communities, Reno remains one of the strongest launchpads for building decentralized, people-powered network coverage across the US.

Alongside the Titan, Spark AirNodes will return in Pakistan.

Spark AirNodes will also open for Early Access on 28 May in Pakistan. Starting from just $62.99, the Sparks will continue expanding decentralized connectivity in Pakistani neighborhoods.

How the Titan Earns

Rewards for the Titan are calculated on number of connected subscribers. Potential rewards scale with demand.

Additionally, Operators of the Titan can also earn an ‘Overwatch percentage’.

A percentage of the revenue that comes from the following sources within the Titan’s market of operation will be attributed to the Titan’s earnings:

  • US Phone Plan subscribers
  • World Mobile Home and Business Internet subscribers connecting to cellular AirNodes

This makes the Titan a strategic option for Operators looking to serve large coverage zones and potentially unlock scalable revenue. For more details on earnings, check out the Earnings Calculator.

How to Purchase a Titan

You can buy the Titan in a few simple steps:

  • Select ‘Own Remotely’
  • Select the Titan in the menu on the left
  • Choose a Titan AirNode from the ones available on the map
  • Add to basket to continue looking, or checkout to purchase

Note: If you’re an Early Access member, please put Sparks and Titans in the same basket. Your Early Access code will only work on one basket.

Titans and Sparks Drop on 28 May

Both Titan and Spark AirNodes will be available through Early Access, opening 28 May 2025 at 17:00 UTC. Every drop has sold out before reaching the public. The last one was gone in under two minutes.

Sign up now to secure your place and claim both ends of the World Mobile network: the Spark, built for local, community-scale coverage, and the Titan, engineered for long-range oversight and high-volume earning.

It’s time to participate in the infrastructure layer of a decentralized mobile network and a chance to earn as it expands.
