The final public Spark AirNode drop launches today.
With more than 130,000 units sold, the Spark AirNode has reached a defining moment in the network’s growth. What began as the most accessible way to participate in decentralized telecom in Pakistan is now entering its final public chapter.
Today, 466 AirNode Operators are running Spark deployments across Pakistan. In the last 24 hours alone, those deployments supported over 3.15 million users and delivered 2.17 petabytes of data. Monthly Spark payouts now stand at $220,789.20, reflecting real rewards earned from expanding connectivity on the ground.
Spark proved the AirNode model. It established that a decentralized mobile network could expand at scale, powered by Operators who wanted to reclaim power from Big Wireless and bring connectivity to areas where it was needed most.
It showed that people are ready to move beyond passive connectivity and take active ownership in determining how networks grow. It helped turn Pakistan into one of the strongest live examples of decentralized telecom in practice, with deployments expanding from Lahore and Islamabad into cities such as Faisalabad and Multan.
Now, the public window closes.
The final public Spark Drop will open for public sales today at 17:00 UTC.
When it goes live, 10,000 Spark AirNodes will become available for purchase: the final public batch.
For existing AirNode Operators, nothing changes. Your Spark AirNodes continue to operate under the same terms, with the same rewards structure, and with the same role in the network.
For everyone else, this is the final public opportunity to acquire a Spark AirNode before it leaves open sale.
An important update to checkout
As we approach the final public Spark AirNode drop, there is one important update to how purchases will be completed.
Coinbase payments will not be available for this drop. Coinbase has retired this product, so it has been removed from checkout.
Instead, all purchases will be processed through X402, a dedicated checkout platform that enables direct, onchain payments.
X402 handles the full checkout flow. You connect your wallet and complete your purchase using USDC. Payments are made directly from your wallet on supported networks, without relying on third-party processors.
When the drop goes live, USDC payments will be supported on Base and Polygon.
This update simplifies the purchase process and improves reliability during high-demand drops. For anyone preparing to participate in the final drop, a faster, more seamless checkout experience awaits.
The device that scaled decentralized connectivity like never before
Spark established the edge of the network in Pakistan. From here, the network continues to evolve, building on what Spark made possible and extending that model into new forms of participation.
This is a closing moment for public access, but it is also a clear signal of progress.
More than 130,000 Spark AirNodes sold. One final public drop.
The Last Spark is coming.
