World Mobile Expands to the Philippines, Bringing Network Builder to a New Market

World Mobile has expanded its network to the Philippines, marking another step in the practical rollout of decentralized telecommunications infrastructure.

The first AirNodes are now live in Siargao, delivering connectivity across a handful of active sites already in operation. Early usage and feedback from the ground have been encouraging, validating the network’s expansion into a new geography.

This launch extends World Mobile’s proven model of pairing local operators with shared infrastructure, allowing connectivity to grow where demand exists rather than being dictated by legacy rollout cycles.

From initial deployment to expanding coverage

The initial AirNode batch went live toward the end of 2025 and is already supporting connectivity across multiple live sites in Siargao. Expansion is underway, with over 10 additional sites expected to come online in the coming weeks as deployment continues.

This phased approach ensures performance and reliability keep pace with demand, while setting the foundation for broader coverage.

Network Builder expands beyond the United States

The Philippines deployment is supported by World Mobile’s first international Hex Operator, marking a significant milestone for the Network Builder platform.

Network Builder is designed to make expansion repeatable. Hex Operators take responsibility for deploying infrastructure in defined regions, Hosts provide physical locations, and the broader community participates through shared ownership and incentives.

With this launch, Network Builder moves beyond its initial USA footprint and into international markets, demonstrating that the model can travel and scale.

AirNodes coming to the Sales Platform

As deployment continues, AirNodes in the Philippines will be made available through the AirNode Sales Platform, allowing participants to support and benefit from network expansion in a new market.

This creates a direct link between infrastructure growth and community participation, reinforcing the sharing-economy foundation of the World Mobile network.

Strengthening the foundation for scale

To support wider coverage, a fiber rollout is planned for February and March, providing a stronger backbone for the network as additional sites come online. With this foundation in place, acceleration is expected from April onwards, enabling faster expansion across the region.

Learning from what already works

World Mobile has seen this progression before. In Pakistan, early deployments developed into large-scale rollouts as demand increased and infrastructure compounded. Based on this experience, similar levels of expansion are expected in the Philippines from the second half of 2026 as the network matures.

This approach reflects a disciplined expansion strategy built on execution, local partnership, and proven demand.

Local partnership, global infrastructure

The Philippines rollout is supported by local ISP partner eSari-Sari, powered by World Mobile.

They provide fast, affordable internet and digital tools to Fillipinos, empowering their growth and opening new opportunities nationwide. Their deep understanding of local connectivity needs has been instrumental in bringing the network live and shaping its early growth.

Building market by market

With 100,000+ AirNodes deployed globally, the Philippines represents another market where World Mobile’s decentralized telecom model is being applied methodically and at scale.

This is how decentralized telecom grows: local operators, infrastructure on the ground, and networks that compound.
