Every decentralized movement needs its builders - the ones who translate vision into working code. In the case of World Mobile Chain (WMC), one such group of builders is Depinity.
Born directly from within the World Mobile community, Depinity isn’t a newcomer. Co-founded by Arthur Leinweber (CTO) and longtime World Mobile ambassador Taras Sandbrink (CEO), they have been here from the start - contributing to discussions, pushing code, and helping shape the network we’re building together. Now, they’re stepping into a critical role: making it easier and safer for others to build and scale within our ecosystem.
We sat down with Depinity to get a closer look at what they’re building, why it matters, and how they’re helping to unlock the true potential of the World Mobile Chain.
What made you choose to build on the World Mobile Chain?
We didn’t choose it from a list. We were already in it. Our team includes builders, ambassadors, AirNode Operators - all part of the World Mobile ecosystem since day one. When the World Mobile Chain launched on Base, it wasn’t a technical decision for us. It was continuity. It aligned perfectly with our values - accessibility, decentralization, and real-world impact. World Mobile Chain gives us the infrastructure we trust to build something that actually matters.
What problems are you solving?
We’re solving something very real - operational friction. Right now, if you're an EarthNode Operator and not a DevOps expert, you're either overpaying for third-party help or struggling with uptime, updates, and performance.
Phase One of Depinity introduces Node-as-a-Service: fully managed, scalable infrastructure designed specifically for ENOs. That means automated updates, real-time monitoring, and built-in fail-safety.
Phase Two goes broader. We’ll provide enterprise-grade backend and API services for projects building on World Mobile Chain. We’re talking scalable blockchain data handling, secured endpoints, and custom infrastructure for any use case.
And long-term? Phase Three is our vision to become a full Mobile Virtual Network Operator in Germany - powered by World Mobile.
You could have built this on any blockchain. Why World Mobile Chain?
Because it solves the trilemma. You don’t have to pick two out of three between scalability, decentralization, and low fees. You get them all.
World Mobile Chain runs fast, keeps costs negligible, and integrates seamlessly with the Ethereum ecosystem. That matters when you're supporting telco-level data flows. For us, it’s not a workaround. It’s an upgrade.
What technical advantages has World Mobile Chain delivered so far?
There are a few key ones.
The multichain nature of $WMTx - accessible on Ethereum, Cardano, and BNB Chain - gives us broad liquidity and reach. That lowers barriers for both users and businesses.
But the real breakthrough? World Mobile Chain connects blockchain to real-world telecom infrastructure. That means what you build here doesn’t stay theoretical. It has physical impact. For us, that’s the gateway to building smarter, adaptive infrastructure services at global scale.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned building on World Mobile Chain?
No one-size-fits-all solution works in Web3. Especially not in telco.
World Mobile Chain has taught us to stay flexible, design around the user, and prepare for the unexpected. The network provides the rails - but how you navigate is up to you. It’s a lesson in adaptability. And we’ve embraced it fully.
What’s it like working with the World Mobile team?
Inspiring. No exaggeration.
The team blends ambition with humility. They’re bold about the mission but grounded in execution. And they’ve built a culture that listens. We’ve never felt like outsiders pitching into a black hole. Feedback gets heard. Problems get solved. That openness has made all the difference for us.
Where is Depinity now, and what’s coming next?
Our MVP is already live. We’ve built out core components like user onboarding, GDPR-compliant data flows, and a robust, fault-tolerant system for managing node infrastructure.
We’re aligning our next steps with two milestones: the World Mobile Chain public launch and the rollout of Delegated Proof of Stake for EarthNodes. As soon as Dev Mainnet goes live, we’re onboarding ENOs for real-world testing.
By early 2026, we’ll scale into backend services for broader business adoption.
What kind of impact do you hope to make?
We want to be the launchpad for builders across World Mobile Chain.
We take the burden of infrastructure off your shoulders so you can focus on innovation, growth, and scale. Whether you're running a node or building a dApp, we’re here to make it easier, safer, and faster to succeed.
We’re not here to compete with builders. We’re here to boost them.
Any final words for developers thinking about building on World Mobile Chain?
Do it.
You’re not entering a space with empty promises. You’re entering a movement where builders support each other, and where your work can create real-world change.
Ask questions. Show up. Build. The tools are ready, the infrastructure is here, and the community is alive with energy. You’ll find a place for your ideas - and people who care enough to help you shape them.
The Power of Builders
Depinity’s journey is exactly what the World Mobile Chain is designed to unlock - a space where grassroots builders step up to solve real problems, with the support of a decentralized, user-owned network behind them.
They’ve recently joined the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, bringing enterprise-grade resources into the World Mobile Chain ecosystem. That means better testing, smarter scaling, and more robust services - powered by Azure and designed for our decentralized future.
As the World Mobile Chain heads toward public launch, it’s builders like Depinity who are turning infrastructure into impact.
The future of mobile connectivity belongs to the people who build it.
Because together, we’re unstoppable.
